I used to suffer from chronic Home Remedies For Constipation (would not go for a week sometimes) but have learned how to solve my problems. This what causes Home Remedies For Home Remedies Constipation in ME:
Alcohol - It's a diuretic and ends up dehydrating me. If I don't water load the night after drinking I won't have a BM the next day.
Grains - white rice/flour products are the worst (bread, pasta, bowl of rice). Also, brown rice and whole grain flour products, popcorn also constipate me so really all grains. I only eat these things in small fractions if at all. In its place I eat more fruits and veggies. Oatmeal, however, has no constipating effect on me.
Less carbs does not necessarily mean more animal protein. I suggest replacing the grains with fruits, veggies, legumes, nuts. Once she is regular again she can handle a slice of toast for breakfast. I hope you will solve this very uncomfortable problem.

  1. Sometimes it is around my period, sometimes not.
The times around your period may be caused by prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are a hormone created during your period that cause smooth muscle contractions. They make the walls of your uterus contract, which helps force out the uterine lining, but in some people they get a little overactive and also make your bowels contract. This can cause constipation, diarrhea, gas, or other problems with your digestion.

Fortunately they're pretty easy to get rid of. Aspirin inhibits production of prostaglandins. Take two aspirin a day for 2-3 days before your period, then one a day once your period actually hits. It should reduce the amount of prostaglandins which will help with your digestion.

    1. So THAT'S why I always get the shits the day before my period. I knew it was connected hormonally but never took the time to look into why.

    3. I don't think so, since it's not caused by the same thing. Aspirin only works to remove prostaglandins, so if it's not prostaglandins causing your digestive troubles then aspirin won't fix it.
